WebEverytime we come to St. Martin we head to Orient Beach. This past November we went to Orient Beach and the beach was piled high with seaweed. It was so bad the my kids (ages 5 & 7) didn't want to go in the water. Is the seaweed problem over? Should I stay on the Dutch side and go to Little Bay beach instead? Thanks for your help! WebJust came back from St. Maarten this past week. Granted SXM has 38 beaches and we didn't go to all. But some beaches have more than others. I believe one beach in Maigot had a serve problem. So much so it had a horrible smell. Orient beach ( which we loved) had a small problem but not to bad. Mullet and Simpson beach were the cleanest.
